Full beginner guide
  • Shinigami: Choose sword training, Soul Passage, Squad service, and Shikai.
  • Hollow: Choose soul consumption and evolving forms, with the option to become an Arrancar. Compare the starting races by the route you want to play.
  1. Meet your tutorial NPC. Press E to speak to Officer Riku as a Shinigami or Koshiro as a Hollow in the starting park.
  2. Complete the soul objective. Hollows must hold E to consume three Lost Souls, rather than kill them. Soul Reapers use P for Lost Spirits; rescued Kaito Ito instead displays an E Soul Passage prompt.
  3. Finish training and return. Meet your instructor near the bridge, defeat the training Hollow, and complete your tutorial encounter: Hollow Skirmish for Koshiro or the soul-rescue fight for Riku. Return to the marked NPC to turn in the objective. Follow Koshiro’s tutorial or Riku’s tutorial for the individual tasks.
  4. Build toward your next milestone. Clear manageable events, allocate earned stat points, and use Yen for skills. Soul Reapers move toward joining a Squad; Hollows work on The Hunger and their first Gillian evolution.
Explore the archiveFind the route. Learn the move.
  • Attack — M1: Equip your Attack entry or weapon first.
  • Defend — F / Q: Block with F; dodge with Q.
  • Move — Z / Left Ctrl: FlashStep or Sonido with Z; toggle sprint with Left Ctrl.
  • Recharge — X: Charge Spiritual Energy, also called Reiatsu.
  • Meditate — N: Begin meditation for your route’s spirit challenge.
  • Travel — U: Open World Travel.
  • Release — G: Activate your unlocked weapon form.
  • Locate — J: Enter Sensory Mode to reveal markers.

Click the controller-shaped Menu icon at the top to access Character, Inventory, Stats, and Skills. Settings lets you change displayed bindings or reset them individually.

Watch the enemy before committing. Keep enough distance to react, dodge away when it attacks, and counter during the opening. PvP can happen outside safe zones; the combat guide covers defense and attacks that fail to connect.

Quests and World Travel

All quest objectives and rewards

Press J to reveal NPC roles and distances, then follow your active quest or Turn In marker to the correct meeting point. Instructors move between tutorial stages. Koshiro Gilgo and Koshiro Gilga are the same NPC; Riku’s nearby label can read Riku Abarai.

World Travel

Press U, choose Soul Society, and walk into the portal. Join a Squad sends you to the Head Captain in Seireitei. Use the NPC and travel guide for landmarks.

Quest objectives and turn-ins

For Four Broken Masks, follow the green skull markers, defeat the four Arrancar targets, and return to Nao Arashi. The quest panel lists 20,150 EXP for the turn-in; combat EXP is separate.

Hollow → Gillian → Adjuchas → Vasto Lorde. The Hunger leads into Gillian; later stages use their own evolution progress.

At Vasto Lorde, the meter becomes ultimate charge. Fill it to use Bomba Grande, which consumes the charge.

Mask removal

Press Ctrl+K, check that the prompt says you will become an Arrancar, and choose Yes to take the sword-wielding route. Reaching Vasto Lorde first lets you experience that stage; it is not a universal mask-removal requirement.

Primordial Vasto Lorde badge

The Primordial Vasto Lorde badge requires reaching Vasto Lorde within the first 24 hours of release. It is a time-limited achievement condition, not another evolution stage.

Shikai and Squad Service

All Shikai and moves

Squad service and unlocking Shikai

Choose your service Squad through the Head Captain in Seireitei, then speak to your own Squad Captain for Officer progression and meditation guidance. A Squad is your service affiliation; a Party is a temporary player group.

  1. Meditate with N after receiving the Officer guidance.
  2. Defeat your Shikai Spirit in the challenge.
  3. Say your own release phrase in Roblox chat while still in the arena, using the phrase given in your post-battle dialogue. This completes the route to Partial Shikai; afterward, use G to activate it.

The Shikai unlock guide covers the challenge and release dialogue; meditation guidance covers route conditions and waiting.

Moves and rerolls

  • Water: R — Morning Tides; T — Trapping Waves.
  • Nozarashi: R — Nozarashi Slash; T — Nozarashi Jump.

In the Shikai menu, check the selected slot and available rerolls before rolling. The settled result saves automatically.

  • Water Shikai sword with blue ripples and floating bubbles.

As an Arrancar, aim for level 25 before starting the meditation route. Press N, win the inner-world challenge, and finish the dialogue to unlock Partial Resurrección. Activate it with G and use its ability-specific C / V moves. Level 25 is a preparation target for this route, not a mask-removal requirement.

Choosing an ability

  • Murcielago: Ranged spear throws and repeated area hits suit groups. Throw with V, then recall the spear with M1; C is Spear Stab.
  • Cazador: Close-range control with Triple Strike and a surrounding Hurricane Slash.
  • Arrogante: Axe melee paired with a forward projectile.
  • Devorador: A straightforward ground slam and dash.

Compare those tradeoffs in the PvE Resurrección guide.

For rerolls, select your slot on the Resurrección tab and wait until the result stops rolling. You can roll the same ability again.

Stats, Skills and Builds

All skills and requirements

Each level grants 2 stat points. Choose an investment direction around how you fight:

  • Strength — melee and durability: Improves health, physical defense, and attack power. Diving Impale requires STR 5 and 500 Yen, making it an early melee option.
  • Speed — pursuit and mobility: Improves movement, attack speed, and Flash Step speed and distance. Blink Cut requires SPD 5 and helps close the gap.
  • Kido — spiritual attacks: Improves Reiatsu, spirit regeneration, and Reiatsu power. It supports a Cero-focused direction.

Buying and equipping skills

Open Skills, purchase a general skill, and check that it is equipped; use EQUIP if needed to add it to your hotbar. Racial skills change with your form. Kidō options include Kurohitsugi’s pillar attack and Raikōhō’s lightning.

Use the skill requirements to choose a target, the stat-point planner to budget points, and PvE build priorities to connect those choices to combat.

Finding and clearing events

Open EVENTS / MISSIONS → Sense A Disturbance, then follow the marker or enter the event Garganta. Defeat the targets tracked by remaining until the event changes to CLEARED.

  • Hollow Ambush: Basic Hollow-clearing encounters.
  • Adjuchas Patrol / Pack: Stronger enemies that call for careful blocking, Cero, and melee openings.
  • Vastocar Pack: Dangerous close-range, multi-target fighting near a purple pillar.

Event fights can award kill EXP and evolution progress; clearing the event can award EXP and chests. SPIKED enemies are stronger. The event guide covers individual encounters.

Parties

Use CREATE A PARTY in the Party panel to form a temporary group. The group interface includes FRIEND’S USERNAME and DISBAND PARTY controls. The Party leader opens the event Garganta; see Party controls for management details.

World Bosses and Invasions

All world-target reward previews

Find Colossal Gillian and the world Vasto Lorde through their named distance markers and the boss bar at the top. Arrancar Invasion uses a Karakura announcement and red exclamation-mark markers.

Reward panels preview chest qualities and their chances. Keep each Vasto Lorde panel’s preview separate when checking rewards. The world boss is also distinct from the playable Vasto Lorde form and the Arrancar inner-world opponent.

  • Open your own gate: Press J and follow the purple RAID GATE marker to Kaito Llargo, beside a residential garage door. Opening the gate consumes 2 Garganta Shards and 5 Hollow Fragments.
  • Follow an open gate: Other players can use the passage without paying the opening materials again.

Enter the green circle in front of the black rift within one minute of opening. Solo entry is possible.

Inside, equip your weapon and clear the current Wave, using the remaining-enemy count to track progress. The Raid guide includes the opening sequence and a material planner for repeated entries.

Green Raid entry circle beneath a black Garganta, with a countdown and Kaito Llargo beside the garage.

Chests, Yen and Essence

All chest types and rewards

Opening event chests

In Inventory, select a chest and choose USE to open one or MASS OPEN for a batch.

Common Event Chests can contain supplies, Hollow Fragments, Yen, and even Epic Reiatsu Gloves. Epic Event Chests can yield Healing Herbs, a Reiatsu Vial, and Yen; these examples are not a fixed bundle for every opening. Legendary and Mythical chests also appear as world-target reward qualities.

Currencies

  • Yen: Earn it from quests and event chests, then spend it on skills.
  • Essence: Earn it by consuming souls as a Hollow. A successful consumption example awards 5 Essence alongside 160 EXP.

The currency reference separates earning methods and spending uses.

Keep Hollow Fragments and Garganta Shards for opening your own Raid Gate. Common Event Chests are one source of Hollow Fragments; use the Raid material planner to budget repeated openings.

Open the flag-icon Clan tab to inspect CURRENT CLAN and CLAN PERKS. Use a Clan reroll when available, then wait for the final name to settle; changes save automatically. Rarity and roll chance do not establish combat strength.

Character creation offers an optional display name and Male / Female selection. If you enter a name, use 2–16 letters; apostrophes and hyphens are allowed.

The flame tab contains Reiatsu Color and its random reroll. Color changes your effects, not stats or damage. See character customization for appearance controls and restrictions.

Game Passes and Private Servers

All game pass features and listed prices

Private servers

The Private Servers pass lets its owner create a permanent private server and share it with friends. Its listed price is 700 Robux.

Other pass features

  • Reiatsu Color Picker — listed at 550 Robux: Choose your aura color directly.
  • Custom Cero Color — listed at 150 Robux: Match Cero to your aura color.
  • Faster Charge — listed at 350 Robux: Charge Reiatsu at 1.5× speed. The calculator estimates active charging time for the same amount of Reiatsu.
  • Multiple Quests — listed as not for sale: Allows up to three mission-board quests at once; this scope does not include every story quest.

Compare features and listed prices in the game pass reference.

HOLLOW Game Passes: Features, Prices and Faster Charge

Faster Charge time estimate for the same amount of Reiatsu

Charging time with Faster Charge = baseline charging time ÷ charging multiplier. Time saved = baseline charging time − charging time with Faster Charge.

  • Compare the same amount of Reiatsu under otherwise identical conditions.
  • The baseline time must exclude Faster Charge.
  • Use active charging time only; interruptions and fixed delays are excluded.

Questions, answered.

Field notes
Can I choose Arrancar when I first start?

Arrancar is a progression outcome of the Hollow route, not a third starting race. Start as Hollow, then use mask removal when the Arrancar evolution prompt is available. See the race comparison.

How long does meditation take?

Plan for a wait rather than an instant challenge: Arrancar estimates range from 30–45 minutes to about an hour. A Shikai example took about an hour, possibly longer than necessary. These are estimates, not a fixed timer. Follow your route’s prerequisites in the meditation guide.

Why do my attacks show effects but deal no damage?

Check whether you are in a safe zone, attacking a protected target, or missing an equipped Attack entry or weapon. Effects and cooldowns can appear even when combat is blocked. Equip your attack or weapon and use M1, not the number 1. See attack troubleshooting.

Does everyone need materials to enter a Raid?

No. The player opening the gate pays 2 Garganta Shards and 5 Hollow Fragments. Other players can follow for free during its one-minute opening window. Enter through the green circle in front of the rift; see Raid entry.
