How to Open the Raid Gate in HOLLOW Roblox

Last updated:

Prepare your gate materials, find Kaito Llargo, and enter HOLLOW’s raid wave challenge. Use the material planner to budget multiple openings before heading to the entrance.

Required materials and inventory shortages for Raid Gates you personally open

Required material = paid gate openings × material cost per opening. Additional material needed = max(0, required material − current inventory).

  • Count only gates you pay to open.
  • Following another player's open gate is free.
  • The result does not estimate farming time or raid rewards.
At a glance

Press J and follow the purple RAID GATE marker to Kaito Llargo. Opening a gate consumes 2 Garganta Shards and 5 Hollow Fragments. Choose the opening option in his dialogue, then enter the green circle in front of the black Garganta within one minute. You can enter alone, or follow another player’s open gate for free.

Find Kaito Llargo at the Raid Gate

  1. Press J to reveal location markers.
  2. Follow the purple RAID GATE marker to a residential garage door.
  3. Look for Kaito Llargo, wearing a green-and-white hat and white clothing beneath a red question mark, with purple light beside him.
  4. Approach him and press E at the Talk prompt.

His dialogue identifies him as the Garganta Keeper. For other NPC landmarks and travel destinations, see the locations and world travel guide.

Plan Your Gate-Opening Materials

Budget for the gates you personally pay to open. Each opening consumes 2 Garganta Shards and 5 Hollow Fragments; both materials are required.

Enter your planned paid openings and current inventory in the planner. The total outputs show everything those openings will consume. The additional-material outputs subtract what you already own, so collect those missing quantities before leaving. A zero shortage means you have enough of that material.

Exclude entries where you will follow someone else’s gate for free. If you are sharing opening duties, count only your own turns.

Hollow Fragments can come from Common Event Chests. See the materials guide for material identification and sources.

Open the Garganta and Enter

  1. In the Garganta Keeper dialogue, choose the opening option on the right. This spends the materials budgeted above.
  2. Look for the notification that a Garganta has opened and the large black rift nearby.
  3. Step into the green circle in front of the rift to enter the raid combat area.

The passage stays open for one minute after opening. Its entrance displays a player count and a countdown; use the remaining time to get inside before it closes. If friends are joining, have them nearby before paying.

Solo Entry and Free Followers

You can enter alone and progress through the opening waves, including reaching Wave 2. Solo entry uses the same gate-opening cost, so budget normally when you are the opener.

Other players can follow through an existing passage without paying another material fee. Followers use the same green entrance circle during the opening window described above. Sharing one opening is therefore the material-saving choice when several players are ready to enter together.

Clear the Opening Waves

  1. Equip and draw your weapon after entering the arena.
  2. Check the Cycle, Wave, and remaining-enemy counter at the top of the screen.
  3. Defeat the current wave’s enemies with melee attacks and your available skills. Use the remaining count to track how many targets still need clearing.
  4. Continue fighting when Wave 1 advances to Wave 2. Move between surviving targets and keep reducing the counter.

Recognize early enemies by their silhouettes:

  • Horned-mask humanoids: black bodies, white two-horned masks, and glowing yellow eyes.
  • Crown-mask humanoids: thick arms, white crown-shaped masks, and circular holes in their torsos.
  • Winged enemies: small black bodies with white masks and long wing-like appendages.
  • Long-armed enemies: low bodies supported by long black arms, with vertical white faces.

Use the skills available to your current character. If you have Cero, work around its cooldown and use melee attacks or defensive movement between casts. For skill purchases and loadout choices, see PvE starter builds. If your basic attacks will not activate, check the combat and attack troubleshooting guide.
