HOLLOW Hollow Tutorial: First Meal to The Hunger

Start on the Hollow route in Karakura and follow your Introduction objective. Look for Koshiro beside the large tree near the park entrance path. He has pink hair and orange clothing.

1. Approach Koshiro until the E / Talk prompt appears.
2. Press E and choose Continue in his dialogue.
3. Check that your quest changes to First Meal, asking you to consume three Lost Souls.

Koshiro Gilgo and Koshiro Gilga are the same NPC. His overhead name, dialogue, and return objectives use both spellings. Follow the active quest marker to the meeting point for your current stage. For help reading other location markers, see the locations and navigation guide.

Head to Lost Soul Grounds and look along the nearby streets for translucent souls with green markers.

1. Move close enough to a Lost Soul for its interaction prompt to appear.
2. Hold E until the circular interaction indicator finishes.
3. Check for Success and Soul consumed.
4. Repeat until you have consumed three souls and First Meal changes to a return objective.
5. Follow the Turn In marker to Koshiro, press E, and continue his dialogue.
6. Follow the new Introduction marker to meet him beneath the riverside tree near the bridge.

Killing Lost Souls does not count as consuming them. If a soul falls down as you approach, use its nearby E interaction. Keep holding through the completed ring rather than tapping the key.

Speak to Koshiro at the bridge to accept First Foe. He summons one Hollow for you to defeat.

• Use normal attacks to damage the summoned target.
• If Roar is equipped in your C slot, press C to knock the enemy back.
• If Dash Rush is equipped in your V slot, press V to move forward and close the gap. Check your skill bar, since another loadout may put a different move there.

Once the Hollow is defeated, follow the return marker and speak to Koshiro again. Completing the fight and returning to him advances you to A Nearby Disturbance.

This quest uses the tutorial Garganta opened by Koshiro. Enter that passage to reach Hollow Skirmish.

1. Walk into Koshiro's Garganta.
2. Find the Hollow Skirmish event node and its 2/2 remaining counter.
3. Defeat both Hollow targets. Watch the remaining count decrease as you clear them.
4. Confirm that the node is cleared and the quest changes to returning to Koshiro.
5. Follow the turn-in marker, press E, and continue his dialogue.

The quest requires one completed event node, containing those two targets. After the turn-in, Koshiro introduces Sense A Disturbance, which lets you find further events yourself.

The Hunger requires you to fill the Evolution Bar and become a Gillian. Look for the percentage bar beneath your skills in the lower-right corner.

1. Open Events / Missions in the lower-left corner and select Sense A Disturbance.
2. Follow the event marker and enter its Garganta when one is provided.
3. Defeat event enemies in activities such as Hollow Ambush or Adjuchas Patrol. Keep checking the Evolution Bar as you fight.
4. Continue until the bar reaches 100%. The finishing kill triggers your Gillian transformation automatically.
5. Advance Koshiro's congratulations with Continue. If Return to Koshiro Gilga remains in your quest tracker, follow its marker back to him and talk to finish the turn-in.

Choose fights you can handle consistently. If tougher enemies are stopping your progress, bring a stronger player in a party; the party leader opens the event Garganta for the group. The event guide covers finding nodes and handling their targets.

Continue advances the dialogue after you transform; it is not an evolution confirmation button. Your new form is the tall, masked Gillian, also called Menos or Menos Grande, with access to Cero. A low percentage on the bar after transforming belongs to the new stage.

For First Meal, the 180 Yen value appears on an initial objective display, while the later consumption and return stages show 150 Yen. Check your active quest panel rather than treating 180 Yen as a guaranteed payout.

Soul consumption pays separately. For example, three successful consumptions paying 160 EXP and 5 Essence each total 480 EXP and 15 Essence before the quest turn-in reward. Enemy rewards and event-clear rewards are also separate from the quest amounts above.
